Our mission

We are creators and producers of specialty flour. We offer innovative flour solutions for the bakery and food industries while helping the environment and promoting local, Agriculture Raisonnée™-certified farming practices.

The concept of Les Moulins de Soulanges sprouted out of a partnership between farmers, a miller, and bakers whose goal was to develop extremely high-quality products while also respecting the environment. And so we built and strengthened our mill in accordance with this value chain concept.

Our production plant, located in St-Polycarpe in the Montérégie region, milled its first quality Quebecois grains in February 2007. Thanks to this partnership, at Les Moulins de Soulanges, we have been able to develop, produce, and market specialty flours without improvers that meet the needs of industrial and artisanal bakers, and, consequently, consumers as well.

QUALITY CONTROL

Once Les Moulins has received the wheat, it is not enough to just mill it, no questions asked. Far from it! Our quality control team makes sure that each lot of milled grain meets precise quality standards. We monitor the wheat throughout the milling process and even validate the final product in our test kitchen! Nothing is left to chance when talking about quality control.

AGRONOMIST

Our work starts where our ingredients are grown. The agronomic support we provide our growers is at the heart of our quality system: exceptional flours can’t be made if the wheat isn’t exceptional, too. Our agronomic team ensures that the wheat is grown according to Agriculture Raisonnée™ standards. That’s how we obtain quality while also respecting the environment!

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

We can’t limit ourselves to creating quality and specialty flours: We want to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and processes. From planting to milling, we are committed to scientific innovation through research and development with those in the field.

TEST BAKERS

It is essential that our wheat be optimized for your use. That’s why our test bakers test each flour according to its specialty, and your specialties, too. They ensure that the flour that is created for you is always the best for what you need. Our baker is very knowledgeable about the flours that we create. So they can answer your questions or give you advice!
